ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team came away with a victory in their road match against Trine with a final score of 6-1 to improve to 6-6 overall this season.
Trine started off the match, winning the doubles points after taking wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The team of
Eli McIntyre and
Ervin Perkowski earned the lone doubles win for Rose-Hulman with a score of 6-4.
The Fightin' Engineers bounced back to win all six singles matches.
Tim Eckermann picked up the win at the No. 1 spot with scores of 6-4, 6-1. Perkowski represented the team at the No. 2 spot with a win, 6-4, 6-2.
Ephraim Guthrie rounded out the top three singles spots with a win, 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6).
Rose-Hulman men's tennis will return home to host Franklin College in HCAC play on Sunday, March 22, at 11 AM.
