TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers women's tennis team returns home to host Transylvania in HCAC action on Saturday, April 4, at 10 AM. The match will be played at the Terre Haute Tennis & Pickleball Center due to incoming weather. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers stand at 6-7 overall and 2-0 in the HCAC this season.
* Rose comes off a victory over Principia on Saturday with a final score of 6-1. 
* Paige Mills has been named HCAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance against the Principia Panthers. 
* Mills went 2-0, picking up wins at No. 2 doubles and No. 3 singles. 
* Mills, Emerson Donaldson, and Autumn Korey lead the team in singles play with seven wins each this season. 
* Nova Gladden is the top doubles player for Rose-Hulman with nine wins this season. 
* The top doubles team this year has been Donaldson and Gladden, with a record of 5-2. 
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish second in the HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points and two first-place votes. 
* The team returns First Team All-HCAC honorees Lia Taylor and Emerson Donaldson from last year's team.
* Lia Taylor was also awarded the HCAC Newcomer of the Year last season. 
* Addie Patterson, Nova Gladden, and Camille Clark all earned All-HCAC Honorable Mention last year for their efforts. 
* The team is led by Head Coach Matt Wilson in his third season at the helm of the tennis program. 
* After hosting Transylvania, Rose-Hulman will travel to take on Greenville on Monday, April 6, at 6 PM. 

TRANSYLVANIA NOTES:
* Transylvania enters the weekend with a record of 7-4 overall and 3-0 in the HCAC. 
* The team comes off a win over Earlham with a final score of 5-2. 
* Paulina Razo-Zapata and Maria Hayes lead the team in the No. 1 doubles spot. 
* Razo-Zapata represents the Pioneers at No. 1 singles. 
* Transylvania was picked to finish first in the HCAC Preseason Poll, earning 46 points and five first-place votes.
* The team is led by Head Coach Bill Carey in his seventh year with the Pioneers.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Transy will travel to take on Hanover on Saturday, April 11, at 11 AM. 

TRANSYLVANIA SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series against Transylvania with a record of 14-13 against the Pioneers.
* The Fightin' Engineers have lost their last 10 matches against Transy, dating back to the 2018-19 season.
