RICHMOND, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team picked up a win over Earlham on Saturday with a final score of 6-1. This advances the team to 10-7 overall and undefeated at 4-0 in the HCAC this season.
Rose-Hulman took care of business in the doubles competition, sweeping the Quakers to earn the point.
The No. 1 team of
Chris Lian and
Tim Eckermann picked up a win, 6-4. The No. 2 doubles team of
Eli McIntyre and
Ervin Perkowski defeated their opponent, 6-4. The final doubles team of
Joao Henrique Nossar and
Ephraim Guthrie earned a victory at the No. 3 spot, 6-3.
The Fightin' Engineers played well in the singles competition, winning five of the six matches.
Henrique Nossar earned a win at No. 1 singles after his opponent was forced to retire due to injury.
Tim Eckermann picked up a win at No. 2 singles with scores of 6-1, 6-0.
Ephraim Guthrie rounded out the top three singles players, with a win at the No. 4 spot, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
The Fightin' Engineers will continue their conference schedule, hosting Anderson on Saturday, April 18, at 2 PM.
