Box Score TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team picked up a win over the Anderson Ravens in a battle of the remaining undefeated teams left in the HCAC. The team handed Anderson their first conference loss of the year with a final score of 6-1. This advances the team to 11-7 overall and 5-0 in the HCAC.
The team started the match, sweeping the doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
Tim Eckermann and
Chris Lian earned the win at the No. 1 spot, 6-3.
Eli McIntyre and
Ervin Perkowski were the winners at No. 2 doubles, 6-4.
Joao Henrique Nossar and
Ephraim Guthrie finished the sweep at No. 3 doubles, 6-0.
The Fightin' Engineers carried the momentum into singles play, winning five of the six matches. Henrique Nossar led the team at No. 1 singles with a win, 6-4, 6-2.
Eckermann represented the team at No. 2 singles with a win, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
Ephraim Guthrie rounded out the top three singles players with a win in the No. 4 spot with scores of 6-2, 5-7, 6-1.
The Fightin' Engineers men's tennis team will hit the road to continue HCAC play, facing Hanover on Saturday, April 25, at 2 PM.
