TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's tennis team wrapped up their regular season with a victory over Manchester on Senior Day with a final score of 7-0. The win advances the team to 11-8 overall this season and 6-1 in the HCAC.
Before the match, Rose-Hulman took the time to honor their lone senior,
Camille Clark, for her outstanding leadership and dedication to the women's tennis program.
The Fightin' Engineers swept the doubles competition to claim the doubles point.
Paige Mills and
Addie Patterson claimed the win at the No. 1 spot with a score of 6-0.
Emerson Donaldson and
Nova Gladden picked up a victory at No. 2 doubles with a score of 6-0.
Kaitlyn Pfund and
Brooke Carpenter represented the team at No. 3 doubles with a victory, 6-1.
Rose-Hulman completed the shutout win by sweeping the singles competitions. Donaldson defeated her opponent at No. 1 singles in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Mills represented the team in the No. 2 spot with a win, 6-1, 6-0.
Autumn Korey earned an outstanding victory at No. 3 singles with scores of 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.
The Fightin' Engineers women's tennis team has secured the #2 seed and a first-round bye in the HCAC Tournament. The team will return to action in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, May 2, in the HCAC Semifinal round to face the winner of the #3 seed and #6 seed.
