TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its All-HCAC and special award winners for the sport of women's tennis. Rose-Hulman earned five All-HCAC selections, highlighted by
Paige Mills earning HCAC Newcomer of the Year.
Emerson Donaldson led the team as the lone First Team All-HCAC selection. Student-athletes who earned Honorable Mention All-HCAC included
Camille Clark,
Nova Gladden,
Autumn Korey, and
Paige Mills.
Donaldson has been exceptional this season, leading the team with 11 singles wins and a record of 5-2 in singles play across conference matches. Donaldson ranks second on the team in doubles wins with a record of 12-3 on the year, totaling an undefeated HCAC mark at 7-0. Donaldson and Gladden have been the top doubles duo for Rose-Hulman with a record of 10-2 this year and undefeated at 5-0 across HCAC matches.
Mills has been a breakout star for Rose-Hulman in her first season with the team. She reached double figures in singles wins this year with 10 and recorded a conference singles record of 5-2. Mills has also totaled a 6-8 record in doubles play. Mills has teamed up with Clark this season as the second-best doubles pair on the team, with a record of 5-7 overall and a conference mark of 2-3.
Clark has been a standout senior for the Fightin' Engineers. She totaled a singles record of 8-8 overall and a conference mark of 4-1 during the regular season. Clark has earned six doubles wins this year and has teamed up with Mills for a doubles record of 5-7 overall and a conference mark of 2-3.
Gladden has been the team's top doubles competitor this year. She leads the team with a doubles record of 14-3 and an undefeated conference record of 5-0. Gladden paired with Donaldson this season as Rose-Hulman's top duo, posting a record of 10-2 this year and undefeated at 5-0 across HCAC matches. Gladden has also shined in singles play with an overall record of 10-4 and an undefeated conference record of 2-0.
Korey has been another stellar freshman for the team. She was able to make a huge impact in singles competition, leading the team with 11 singles wins this year with a conference record of 4-2. She also totaled a doubles record of 2-5 this season.
The Fightin' Engineers have earned the #2 seed in the HCAC Tournament after finishing the regular season with a record of 11-8 overall and 6-1 in the HCAC. Rose-Hulman will face Hanover in the HCAC Semifinal on Saturday, May 2, at 2 PM.
