TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the sport of men's tennis. Tim Eckermann has been named the HCAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance in the team's conference win over Transylvania. 

Eckermann was exceptional in the Fightin' Engineers' victory over Transylvania with a score of 5-2. The sophomore mechanical engineering major finished the week undefeated at 2-0. He teamed up with his partner Chris Lian to earn a win at No. 1 doubles with a score of 6-3. The Munich, Germany native then took down his opponent at No. 1 singles with scores of 6-4, 7-6 (12-10). 

This is the second HCAC Athlete of the Week award for Eckermann in his college career with Rose-Hulman. 

The men's tennis team will hit the road to continue their conference schedule, facing Earlham on Saturday, April 11, at 2 PM.
