GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers came up shy of the DePauw Tigers by a score of 2-1.
Junior
Ryan Shapiro scored for the Fightin' Engineers for the third consecutive game. He has now scored six goals in six games, which ranks as two more than anyone else in the HCAC.
Sophomore
Justin Burns hauled in four saves in the match, highlighted by back-to-back saves in the 76
th and 77
th minutes.
The Tigers were able to secure the 2-1 win on a penalty kick goal in the 87
th minute.
The Fightin' Engineers now sit at 2-2-2 on the season. They will stay on the road for their sixth straight away match-up as they face Ohio Northern on Saturday, September 19 at 2 PM.
