NORMAL, Ill. – Rose-Hulman recorded a ninth-place finish out of 20 teams at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic. The team recorded an overall score of 635 (+59) across two rounds of golf.
Sophomore
Lauren Slatton tied for first place, to claim her second straight Individual Championship. She recorded a score of 143 (-1), where she totaled eight birdies. Slatton's tournament was highlighted by a sensational first round where she would once again break her school record. Slatton posted a round score of 65 (-7), overtaking her previous school record round score of 67 (-5). She totaled seven birdies in the round, while recording an eagle on a par-five hole of 445 yards.
Senior
Elizabeth Ma and freshman
Zora Matthews tied for 28th place with a score of 156 (+12). Ma totaled two birdies across the tournament, while recording a score of 73 (+1) on round one. Matthews recorded a total of three birdies, and she added an eagle of her own on a par-five hole of 429 yards.
Freshman
Anna Marrero tied for 116th with a 180 (+36) score to round out Rose-Hulman's top four finishers. Junior
Julia Meyer tied for 125th place with a 192 (+48) score while freshman
Aslyn Haywood took 131st place with a score of 198 (+54).
The Fightin' Engineers will be back in action on Sunday, September 27 – Monday, September 28 as they take on the Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational.
