TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman standout kicker Cohen Peters has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his outstanding performance in the Fightin' Engineers' comeback win over Albion. 

Peters was a difference-maker for the Fightin' Engineers in their big win over the Britons. With the score tied at 21-21, Rose-Hulman drove down the field in the final seconds of the second quarter to set up a 51-yard field goal before the half. Peters drilled the kick through the uprights to give the Fightin' Engineers the lead, 24-21, at the halftime break. 

The freshman mechanical engineering major went a perfect five-for-five on extra points, and his 51-yard field goal ranks as the third-longest field goal in program history. The current record is 53 yards, set by Tim Jeanes in 1978. 

Peters also received HCAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week. This is his first time being named to the D3football.com Team of the Week in his college career. 

The Rose-Hulman football team will return to Cook Stadium on Saturday, October 3, for Homecoming against Franklin College at 2 PM.
