Fightin' Engineers Gear Up for Battle with Wabash

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman heads up to Crawfordsville, Indiana to take on the Wabash Little Giants. The game will kick off on Wednesday, September 9 at 5 PM.
 
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have opened the season with a record of 2-0-1.
* The team recorded shutout victories against Greenville and Spalding.
* RHIT is coming off a 2-2 tie against Centre.
* Rose-Hulman is one of two HCAC teams to remain unbeaten, alongside Mt. St. Joseph.
* Seniors Oliver Fila and Chase Kedzior, and junior Ryan Shapiro have recorded a goal or assist in all three games.
* Shapiro ranks second in the HCAC with seven points, scoring three goals with one assist.
* Fila ranks fourth in the HCAC with five points, recording two goals and one assist.
* Kedzior has added one goal while dishing out two assists.
* Sophomore Pace Morel picked up an assist in both of Rose-Hulman's victories.
* Junior Cameron Hannah leads all field players with 260 minutes of action.
 
WABASH NOTES:
* The Little Giants have gotten off to a hot start, recording a perfect 4-0 record.
* They opened the season with wins over Franklin and Bluffton.
* Wabash is coming off a 4-1 victory on the road against Manchester.
* Senior Alfredo Campos has scored three goals, while leading the team with five assists.
* He began the season by recording a goal in three consecutive games.
* Campos dished out two assists against Franklin and Manchester.
* Senior Bryce Kinnaman leads the team with four goals.
* Kinnaman scored two goals against Franklin and Manchester.
* Freshman Rafael Cordova has hauled in eight saves while giving up just one goal.
 
SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman will face Wabash for the 48th time in program history.
* The Fightin' Engineers trail in the series with a record of 19-24-4.
* The two teams have faced each other every year since their first meeting in 1978.
* Rose-Hulman recorded five straight victories from 2008 to 2012.
* RHIT defeated the Little Giants at home by a score of 2-1 last season.
