Career: The versatile Mitchell appeared on Rose-Hulman's offensive, defensive and special teams units in his four years as a Fightin' Engineer...career totals of 957 kickoff return yards, 339 receiving yards, 27 punt return yards and 21 yards on interception returns...honorable mention all-HCAC selection in 2016...member of HCAC Championship Teams in 2013 and 2016...starter for the first NCAA Division III Playoff Team in school history in 2016...recorded 27 tackles and 10 pass breakups in 2016...hauled in 10 catches for 180 yards as a sophomore and seven receptions for 63 yards as a junior.

At Rose-Hulman: Sterling is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, is a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, and is also a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society.
