Dan Watson enters his third year as offensive coordinator, offensive line coach and strength coordinator for the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology football program in 2020.
Watson helped direct an offense that crossed the 30-point mark a combined nine times during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. His first-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference offensive lineman include Lucas Leiner in 2018 and the duo of Gavinn Bakker and Jonathan Bartlett in 2019.
Watson spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons at Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Franklin College as the team's run game coordinator and strength and conditioning coordinator. He was responsible for offensive line preparation for the football team, and was in charge of developing strength, speed and conditioning programs for the football, basketball, baseball, golf and track teams.
Previously, Watson spent three years as head strength and conditioning coach at Rocky Mountain College. He worked with the offensive line, tight ends and running backs, while developing strength programs for the football, basketball, golf and ski racing teams. He has also served two seasons on the coaching and strength and conditioning staffs at Indiana State University from 2011-2013.
The Terre Haute native earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science and sports performance from Marian University in 2011. He later earned a master's degree in physical education and coaching from Indiana State in 2013. Watson and his wife Katie reside in Terre Haute with their two daughters Maya and Margo.
