Matt Evans

Matt Evans enters his 6th season as running backs and tight ends coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2022.

Evans was part of the team's HCAC championship and NCAA Division III qualifying coaching staff during the 2021 season.

Evans has coached four-time all-conference running back Garrett Wight, 2020 all-league honorees Shane Welshans and Peyton Sakelaris, and all-league tight ends Bryce Dobbs and Caden Hellyer during his Fightin' Engineer tenure.

Evans came to Rose-Hulman with two years of college coaching experience.  He spent the 2016 season at Walsh University in Ohio, serving as the running backs and assistant wide receiver coach.  He also served as the team's video coordinator.

In 2015, Evans served on the coaching staff at Ohio Domincan University for a program that finished 11-2 overall.  The team finished No. 4 nationally in the final AFCA Division II top 25 poll.  He assisted in the team's day-to-day operations, served as specialists coach and helped with on-campus recruiting days.

Evans earned a bachelor's degree in sport industry at Ohio State University in 2014.  He completed an MBA in marketing at Walsh University in the 2017.
