Rachel Delsi enters her eighth season as head volleyball coach at Rose-Hulman in the 2025-26 academic year. She has accumulated a career 87-95 record and 30-33 record in HCAC play.
Delsi helped Rose-Hulman reach the NCAA Division III volleyball tournament for just the second time in program history during her first year in 2018. The Fightin' Engineers finished 19-13 overall and won the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship to punch their first NCAA Division III Tournament ticket since 2011.
The Fightin' Engineers have continued the tradition of success set by the 2018 team with three HCAC Semifinals appearances in 2019, 2022, and 2023. They have also earned two USMC and AVCA Team Academic Awards since 2018.
During her time at Rose-Hulman, Delsi has led her teams to several individual accomplishments including 11 1st-Team All-HCAC selections and 8 2nd-Team All-HCAC selections. She has also coached two Academic All-Americans (Bailey MacInnis and Katryna Dahlberg) and 4 HCAC Defensive Players of the Year (Katryna Dahlberg and Lily Ebright).
Prior to her Rose-Hulman era, Delsi enjoyed a well-rounded playing and coaching experience at the NCAA Division I, III and NAIA levels.
Delsi spent the 2017 season as assistant coach at DePauw University under long-time head coach Deb Zellers. The Tigers finished 20-8 overall in her lone season in Greencastle, reaching the NCAA Division III Tournament and the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship match.
Delsi spent the two prior seasons as assistant volleyball coach Presentation College in South Dakota. Her career also includes ten years of club coaching experience, including spending the 2014 season as varsity coach at Summit Christian Academy in Cedar Park, Texas.
Delsi's career path includes playing experience from the University of Texas at Arlington (NCAA Division I) and Southwestern University (NCAA Division III). She competed at Texas-Arlington in 2009, before completing her playing career and earning a bachelor's degree in kinesiology at Southwestern. Her efforts helped Southwestern rank No. 1 nationally in defense and earn consistent national top 15 team rankings. She competed on 2010, 2011 and 2012 teams that qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament at Southwestern under the direction of head coach Hannah Long.
Delsi resides in Terre Haute with her husband Jose, and two children, Aubrey and Gabriel.
