MEET RESULTS
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recorded six individual top 10 finishes at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet hosted by Purdue University on Saturday afternoon.
The effort helped the Rose-Hulman men place sixth and the women's finish seventh overall against fields primarily consisting of NCAA Division I institutions. NCAA Division I teams competing included Purdue, Indiana, IUPUI, Valparaiso and Evansville.
Junior Orion Martin led the Fightin' Engineers with a second-place finish in the 100-butterfly with a time of 50.29 seconds. Martin also came home ninth in the 200-freestyle with a mark of 1:43.94.
Sophomore Ellie Hong paced the women's squad with a fifth-place finish in the 100-backstroke in a time of 59.31 seconds.
Freshman Cam Gill rounded out the men's top 10 swimming performances with a ninth-place finish in the 100-backstroke in a time of 54.22 seconds.
Junior Sam Gould paced the Rose-Hulman diving efforts with a pair of 10th-place finishes. Gould scored 194.5 points in three-meter diving and added a score of 162.8 in one-meter.
Rose-Hulman returns to action with its home opener featuring Millikin and Lindenwood-Belleville on Friday night.
