TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team plays its final game of the 2014 year Saturday, Dec. 20, when the Fightin' Engineers travel to Illinois Wesleyan University for a 3 p.m. Central Standard Time game with the Titans.
On Wednesday, Rose-Hulman left Anderson with a 45-37 win. The victory over the Ravens marked the first victory for the Engineers at Anderson since the 2010-11 season. In the victory, Rose-Hulman held Anderson scoreless through the first 10 minutes of the contest. Tied 16-16 at halftime, the Engineers took a 31-28 lead and went on a 13-2 run to put the game out of reach.

Abbie Marshall lead Rose-Hulman averaging 8.3 and 7.7 points per game respectively. The two also combine for 13.9 rebounds per contest.
As of Dec. 14, Rose-Hulman ranks 9th in the nation in scoring defense (49.1) and 14th nationally in field goal percentage defense (30.7).
The Titans come into the game with a 5-3 record having won their last game vs. Lindenwood-Belleville. The tandem of Gabrielle Holness and Kasey Reaber combine for 23.3 points per game as well as 7.9 rebounds per game.
The two have one common opponent in Washington University. Rose-Hulman fell to the Bears in the season-opener 59-35 while Illinois Wesleyan lost 82-59 on Nov. 30. The meeting will be the first game between Rose-Hulman and Illinois Wesleyan.
After the game at Illinois Wesleyan, Rose-Hulman opens the new year at Bluffton on Jan. 3. The Engineers return to Hulbert Arena Jan. 7 vs. Earlham.
