TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Alma College battled to a scoreless draw in a late night match that ended shortly after midnight due to a lightning delay.
Rose-Hulman outshot the Scots 13-9 on the evening, led by three shots from Brent Kamer. Alex Jansen and Ben Lyon each contributed two shots for the Engineers.
Goalkeeper Drew Miller tallied three saves in the tightly contested match for his 23rd career shutout. Three players had two shots each to lead the Alma offense, and the Engineers had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Rose-Hulman stands 0-0-1 on the season and returns to action at 4 p.m. on Saturday with a matchup against Kalamazoo (1-0). The Scots are also 0-0-1 on the campaign and face Principia College at 2 p.m.
