TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology returns to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis action with a trip to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday.
Rose-Hulman stands 2-1 on the season and 0-1 in conference play after opening the season last weekend. The Fightin' Engineers defeated Olivet 6-3 and Trine 5-4, after falling to defending league champion Hanover 6-3 in the opener on Saturday.
Freshman Isabella Evans leads Rose-Hulman with a 3-0 record in singles play, and junior Lauren Miller has tallied a 2-1 doubles mark. The tandem of Miller and sophomore Sydney Short has the team's top doubles mark at 2-1.
Mount St. Joseph stands 3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play entering Saturday's home match. The Lions defeated Defiance 7-2 before falling 9-0 to Hanover on Wednesday.
Mount St. Joseph has compiled a team record of 16-8 in singles play and 8-4 in doubles play on the young season.
After Saturday's match, Rose-Hulman travels to Anderson on Wednesday night.
