RICHMOND, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology increased its men's basketball winning streak to seven games with a convincing 80-57 men's basketball victory at Earlham College on Wednesday night.

The Fightin' Engineers turned a 42-26 halftime lead into a 64-28 edge by starting the second half on a 22-2 run.  Rose-Hulman also reclaimed the John Mutchner Cup for the second consecutive year with the win.

Junior Jimmy Miller led a balanced scoring attack with 16 points and nine rebounds.  Junior Matt Loesing added 13 points on 6-8 from the field and five rebounds, and junior Tyler Duffy also reached double figures with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists. 

Senior Corey Povaleri scored seven points and added five assists, while senior Michael Hallstein contributed to the performance with six points and seven rebounds.

Rose-Hulman shot 43% from the field and buried eight three-point field goals in the contests.  The Fightin' Engineers also had a strong performance on the boards, outrebounding Earlham 44-30. 

Rose-Hulman's scoring attack featured significant contributions off the bench, as 13 players scored in the contest.  Earlham placed four players in double figures, with Kyle Smith scoring 14 points.  Elijah Wilson-Thomas and Taylen Alexander added 12 points each.

With the victory, Rose-Hulman improved to 11-5 in the John Mutchner Cup series and has won eight of the nine meetings against Earlham since the Quakers joined the HCAC.

Rose-Hulman improved to 8-4 overall and remained in a tie for first place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings with a 4-1 record.  Earlham dropped to 0-5 in conference play.
