TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology closes the regular season with a game at Bluffton University that represents a chance to qualify for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament.
The Fightin' Engineers need a win at Bluffton, and Anderson to earn either a win or a draw against Transylvania University on Saturday to qualify for the HCAC Tournament.
Rose-Hulman can also secure a .500 regular season and a winning record in the conference campaign on Saturday. The Fightin' Engineers are 8-9 overall and 4-4 in league play, while Bluffton is 7-10 and 3-5.
Senior Kate DeMoss leads Rose-Hulman with seven goals and 15 points. Senior Hayley Gilliam has a team-high six assists and three goals for 12 points. Sophomore Madeline Romeo has added four goals and 10 points.
Senior goalkeeper Lucinda Combs has recorded an .825 save percentage and a 1.17 goals against average this season. She also has six shutouts, with the team earning save this fall.
The HCAC Tournament semifinal match will take place on Nov. 4, with the top two seeds hosting home contests. The HCAC Tournament championship match is set for Saturday Nov. 7.
