COMPLETE RESULTS
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's swimming and diving team knocked off No. 12 ranked Wabash College, and the women's team won all 16 events in a banner performance at Wabash on Saturday.
The No. 15 ranked Rose-Hulman men's team defeated No. 12 Wabash 165-135 in the two team's dual meet. The Fightin' Engineer men also defeated Manchester 253-36 in the team scoring.
On the women's side, Rose-Hulman topped Manchester 164-68 and defeated Eureka 166-37 by winning all 16 events on the afternoon.
Freshman Melissa Arbelaez, freshman Lauren Blake and junior Savannah Rice paced the women's 16 wins with three individual victories each. Arbelaez won the 100-backstroke (1:04.15), 100-butterfly (1:04.45) and 200-backstroke (2:17.16) events. Blake earned top honors in the 50-freestyle (26.96), the 200-freestyle (2:05.27) and the 500-freestyle (5:35.72). Rice won the 100-breaststroke (1:14.70), 200-individual medley (2:24.39) and 200-breaststroke (2:39.89).
Senior Regen Foote swept the one-meter (183.20 points) and three-meter (236.75) diving events for two more wins. Freshman Miranda Anderson-Kenney claimed top honors in the 200-butterfly (2:22.94), freshman Maria Kline won the 1,000-freestyle (11:56.10) and junior Lauren McLennan earned first place in the 100-freestyle (1:00.43).
Rose-Hulman completed the 16-for-16 women's sweep with two relay wins. Arbelaez, Rice, Anderson-Kenney and Blake won the 200-individual medley in 2:00.35. McLennan, Anderson-Kenney, Megan Baker and Kline captured the 400-freestyle relay in 4:08.01.
On the men's side, Rose-Hulman won eight of 16 events against the nationally ranked Little Giants and in-state foe Manchester. Senior Orion Martin won three events with first-place finishes in the 50-freestyle (21.09), 100-freestyle (46.18) and 200-freestyle (1:42.08). Sophomore Cam Gill finished first in the 100-backstroke (52.85) and 200-backstroke (1:58.10), while junior Pierce Bartine won the 100-butterfly (51.95).
The Fightin' Engineer men also swept both relay races. The 200-medley team of Gill, Nick Samra, Bartine and Tyler Sariscsany finished in 1:36.38, while the 400-freestyle relay squad of Martin, Gill, Paul Hintz and Bartine won in 3:11.04.
Rose-Hulman returns to action with a home matchup against NCAA Division I Valparaiso University on Nov. 19 at 5 p.m.
