TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - After two cancelations in in three days, the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team takes to the court on Sunday, March 22, for a noon game at Mount St. Joseph.
The Fightin' Engineers (3-2) look for their second consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) victory after defeating Franklin 8-1 on March 14. In the victory over the Grizzlies, Rose-Hulman dropped only the six singles flight. In addition, the Engineers won each other flight in straight sets except for junior Matt Conrad's three-set victory at fourth singles.
Sophomores Brandon Benedict and Georges Adam team up to represent Rose-Hulman's first doubles team and carry a 2-2 record into the match with the Lions. The two are also the Engineers' top two singles players. Benedict has tallied a 3-2 record at first singles while Adam has notched a 3-1 mark at second singles.
Mount St. Joseph enters the game with a 2-2 record. The Lions began their season with victories over Miami Middletown and Miami Hamilton, but have dropped their last two contests to Capital and Indiana-East.
After the match at the Mount, the Fightin' Engineers continue HCAC play at Hanover on Saturday, March 28. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
