TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team looks to won its third straight Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) match on Saturday, March 28, as the Fightin' Engineers take on Hanover College in a match slated to begin at 1 p.m.
The match was moved back two hours on Friday to allow more warming time on the forecast of a chilly Saturday afternoon.
Rose-Hulman enters the match with a 4-2 mark including a 2-0 record against HCAC competition. The Engineers began conference play with an 8-1 victory at Franklin and swept Mount St. Joseph 9-0 on March 22.
Sophomores Brandon Benedict and Georges Adam enter the dual match with 4-2 and 4-1 records at first and second singles respectively. The two also team up to represent Rose-Hulman's first doubles team. Freshman Cam Metzger carries a 5-1 singles record playing primarily third singles into the match with Hanover.
As a team in dual matches, Rose-Hulman is 23-13 in singles and 13-5 in doubles matches.
Hanover enters the match with a 2-4 record. The Panthers have yet to play an HCAC match this season.
After the match with Hanover, the Engineers travel to non-conference rival DePauw on Tuesday, March 31. The match is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
