TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team looks for its seventh consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) victory when the Fightin' Engineers host the Earlham Quakers on 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18.
Rose-Hulman enters the match with an 8-5 mark including a 6-0 record against HCAC competition. The Engineers most recently went 2-2 over the weekend with victories over Defiance and Manchester and losses to Indiana Tech and IPFW.
Sophomores Brandon Benedict and Georges Adam enter the dual match with 8-5 and 8-4 records at first and second singles respectively. The two also team up to represent Rose-Hulman's first doubles team and carry a 7-4 record including an 8-4 victory over regionally-ranked DePauw. Freshman Cam Metzger carries a 6-2 singles record playing primarily third singles into the match with Earlham.
As a team in dual matches, Rose-Hulman is 49-29 in singles and 26-13 in doubles matches. In addition, the Engineers have lost just one flight in six conference matches thus far this season.
Earlham comes into the contest with a 5-8 record and a 2-1 mark in HCAC play. The Quakers' 5-4 loss to Franklin was its first regular season HCAC loss.
After the match with Earlham, the Engineers host Oakland City on Thursday, April 23.
