TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will host its final non-conference match of the season, when the Fightin' Engineers face Oakland City University on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Joy Hulbert Tennis Center.
Rose-Hulman stands 9-5 on the season and 7-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while Oakland City is 0-5 on the season. The Fightin' Engineers host Transylvania on Saturday, and a weekend win would give Rose-Hulman its first outright regular season conference championship in men's tennis.
Junior Matt Conrad leads Rose-Hulman in singles wins with 12, followed by Cam Metzger and Georges Adam with 11 victories each. Freshman Derek Benedict has also crossed double figures with 10 wins. The doubles team of Conrad and Metzger stands 9-6 this spring.
After Thursday's match, the Fightin' Engineers return to action at home against Transylvania on Saturday at noon.
