GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology battled DePauw University for three tightly contested sets before falling 25-23, 25-19, 25-19 on Tuesday night on the DePauw campus.
Freshman Bailey MacInnis led the Rose-Hulman offense with 10 kills. Freshman Marissa Gollnick provided 14 assists, with junior Morgan Dreyer contributed nine assists. Sophomore Gabi Razma led the Engineers with 25 digs.
Dreyer paced the team with two solo blocks and two block assists. Sophomore Mackenzie Gossard and junior Emily McLendon added three block assists each.
DePauw improved to 8-4 with the victory, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 8-8. The Fightin' Engineers host Bluffton University to open Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday at Hulbert Arena.
