TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 2-0 on the men's soccer season with a 2-0 victory over Principia College on Thursday evening.
Sophomore Austin Webb scored the game winner in the first half, with junior Ben Lyon adding an insurance goal in the second half. Sophomore Michael Lawrence recorded the shutout in goal for his first career victory.
Rose-Hulman outshot Principia 21-4 in the contest, led by Webb with eight shots. Lawrence recorded a pair of saves in his first college shutout.
David Bader led the Principia offense with three shots.
Rose-Hulman returns to action on Sunday with a 4 p.m. home matchup against the University of Chicago.
