Women's Soccer Travels to Defiance on Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hits the road for Defiance College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer action on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Rose-Hulman stands 9-5 overall and 3-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play after Wednesday's 2-1 win over Anderson. Jessica Wells leads the Fightin' Engineer offense with six goals, and Madeline Romeo has four goals with a team-high five assists. Lauren London, Desiree Bell and Corie Ewoldt also have multiple goals so far this season.

Defensively, the goaltending duo of Carli Weinberg and Chiarra Franklin have combined for a 9-5 mark so far this season. Franklin has a 6-2 record and a 1.33 goals against average, while Weinberg has a 1.20 goals against average with an .800 save percentage.

Defiance stands 2-8 overall and 2-2 in league play after defeating Earlham 3-1 on Saturday. Kassie Memmer leads the Yellow Jackets with three goals this season.

After Saturday's match, Rose-Hulman hits the road for Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday night in another conference contest.
