TERRE HAUTE, Ind - With just one game remaining in the regular season the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's soccer team can earn a home playoff game in the HCAC Tournament with a win at Hanover College on Saturday. The Fight' Engineers have already clinched a berth in the Heartland Tournament which is slated to being next week. The Hanover Panthers are currently 7-1 in the HCAC standings while Rose-Hulman is 6-2.
The women were narrowly edged by Franklin College 1-0 on Wednesday October 26. Goalies Chiarra Franklin and Carli Weinberg combined to record six saves in the match. Franklin College is currently in first-place of the Heartland Conference.
Entering Saturday, Hanover is 10-5 overall and 7-1 in the Heartland. RHIT is 11-6 and 6-2 in HCAC play.
