TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology heads to Chicago for matchups against College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foes on Saturday and Sunday.
Rose-Hulman faces North Central College on Saturday at 4 p.m. Central Time (5 p.m. Eastern), before squaring off with host North Park on Sunday at 2 p.m. Central Time (3 p.m. Eastern).
Rose-Hulman stands 2-1 on the season after defeating St. Mary-of-the-Woods 85-58 on Monday to acquire the new Dorsett Automotive Crosstown Classic Trophy. The Fightin' Engineers also have a win over Texas-Dallas and a narrow loss to DePauw this season.
Sophomore Ally Bromenschenkel leads the offense with 15.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Bromenschenkel scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds in the St. Mary-of-the-Woods win. Her effort helped Rose-Hulman snag a school record 75 rebounds as a team in the victory.
Senior Josie Schmidt adds 8.3 points per game, with Brianna Gliesmann coming off the bench for 7.3. The starting lineup has also included Abby Bromenschenkel (5.7 ppg), Alyzia Dilworth (5.0 ppg) and Abbie Marshall (2.7 ppg). The balanced offense features eight players with three appearances after more than 2.7 points per game.
North Central and North Park both come into the weekend with perfect 2-0 records as members of a top Midwestern Division III conference.
After this weekend's action, Rose-Hulman will face another CCIW team by traveling to Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday Nov. 30.
