TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- After starting Heartland Conference play 3-0 the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's basketball team will return to HCAC action on Saturday December 17 at Transylvania University (1 pm).

The women played the University of Chicago in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday December 14 in Hulbert Arena.  The Fightin' Engineers upset the Maroons 61-58 in a back-and-forth affair.  The Maroons were receiving votes in the Top 25 polls earlier this week.  Junior Alyzia Dilworth filled the stat sheet with 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block.

Rose-Hulman will now have their sights on Transylvania University.  The Pioneers were picked to finish third in the HCAC this season in a preseason poll of league coaches back in October.  Transylvania is currently 5-2 and 2-1 in the Heartland Conference.  Their only loss in the league was against Bluffton 67-44 back on December 3.  The Pioneers are led by Celia Kline's 14.6 points per game.

Sophomore Ally Bromenschenkel leads Rose-Hulman with 14.4 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game.  She narrowly missed her third double-double of the season against Chicago, scoring 10 points and grabbing 9 rebounds.  Alyzia Dilworth has started every game this season, contributing 7.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, and 2.5 assists per game.  The Fightin' Engineers hold a significant advantage on the glass outrebounding their opponents by an average of 13 boards per game.

Tipoff from Lexington, Ky. on Saturday December 17 will be a 1 p.m.
