TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology returns to non-conference action with a trip to Illinois Institute of Technology on Thursday night at 7 p.m. Central Time.
Rose-Hulman stands 4-4 on the season after a narrow 71-66 loss at home to Millikin University on Monday. Senior Collin Wojcik led the Rose-Hulman offense with 14 points and four assists against Millikin. Sophomore Nick McGrail also reached double figures with 10 points.
Rose-Hulman has most recently used a starting lineup of Stephen Schueth (7.5 ppg), Kyle Steckel (3.0 ppg), Charlie Aimone (17.9 ppg), Nick McGrail (7.0 ppg) and John Czarnecki (8.6 ppg). Wojcik (12.2 ppg), Ryuji Aoki (6.4 ppg) and Eli Combs (5.0 ppg) are the team's leading scorers off the bench.
Illinois Tech has won four straight games to move to 6-3 on the season, defeating Milwaukee Engineering, Fontbonne, UC Santa Cruz and Pacific Lutheran in December. Anthony Mosley Jr. leads four players in double figures at 17.6 points per game. Other double figure scorers include Jake Digiorgio (14.8 ppg), Malik Howze (14.4 ppg) and Samuel Rarick (12.9 ppg).
After Thursday's game, Rose-Hulman will return to action at the Baldwin Wallace Holiday Tournament on Dec. 29-30. The Fightin' Engineers face Medaille on Thursday Dec. 29 at 8 p.m. On Friday, Rose-Hulman will either face Baldwin Wallace or Adrian at either 3 or 7 p.m. depending on Thursday's outcome.
