TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology completes a five-game season opening men's basketball road trip with a trip to Franklin College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Rose-Hulman narrowly fell to No. 22 ranked Mount St. Joseph 73-69 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference on Saturday in Cincinnati. Freshman John Czarnecki led the Fightin' Engineer offense with 18 points.
Sophomore Charlie Aimone leads the Fightin' Engineers in scoring at 18.5 points per game. Czarnecki and fellow freshman Ryuji Aoki are adding 8.0 points each. Senior Collin Wojcik has contributed 10.0 points per game in two starts so far this season.
The Fightin' Engineers enter Wednesday's game at 1-3 overall and 0-1 in league play, while Franklin is 2-3 and 0-1 in conference play. Franklin dropped a narrow 94-93 double overtime decision at Defiance to open league play on Saturday.
Senior Aaron Mann leads three players averaging more than 15 points per game for the Franklin offense. Mann averages 21.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Senior Robbie Prather adds 15.8 points per game, and junior forward John Beineke adds 15.2.
After Wednesday's game, Rose-Hulman will open its home schedule with a conference matchup against Bluffton University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
