Women's Basketball Travels to Earlham Wednesday

RICHMOND, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology looks to extend its school record 13-game women's basketball winning streak with Wednesday evening's 7:30 p.m. away matchup against the Earlham College Quakers.

Rose-Hulman stands 18-3 overall and 12-2 in HCAC play entering Wednesday's game after a 62-32 win over Mount St. Joseph Saturday afternoon. The Fightin' Engineers shot 44% from the field, and were led by two Engineers in double figures: freshmen Ally Bromenschenkel (11 pts) and Abby Bromenschenkel (10 pts).

Rose-Hulman received a vote in the d3hoops.com national top 25 last week, marking the first time the Fightin' Engineers have received national poll votes since the 2006-07 season.  The Fightin' Engineers also stand tied for first place in the HCAC with Bluffton.

The balanced Rose-Hulman scoring attack features eight players averaging between 5.8 and 8.2 points per game. The starting frontcourt has featured Ally Bromenschenkel (8.2 ppg, 55% from the field), Josie Schmidt (7.1 ppg) and Abbie Marshall (5.9 ppg).  The starting backcourt has included seniors Cassidy Cain (5.8 ppg) and Andi Evers (3.4 ppg).

Other leading scorers for the Fightin' Engineers have included Kristen Belyea (7.0 ppg), Brianna Gliesmann (6.9 ppg) who leads the HCAC in three-point percentage (48%), Chiarra Franklin (5.9ppg) and Alyzia Dilworth (6.4 ppg).  A total of 13 players have seen action in 12 or more contests.

Earlham stands 4-17 overall and 2-12 in league play entering Wednesday's matchup.  The Engineers beat the Quakers 62-49 on January 20th at Hulbert Arena.

Rose-Hulman leads Earlham 12-10 in the series including a 7-3 record in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play. Rose-Hulman has won the last meeting between these two teams.

After Wednesday's matchup, Rose-Hulman travels to Manchester on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
