CLERMONT, Fla. - The Fightin' Engineers improved to 2-2 overall after winning two games on Tuesday at Hancock Park.  Rose-Hulman won its first game 1-0 against York (Pa.) and 10-3 in its second game against Immaculata.

Rose-Hulman's first game was 0-0 heading into the bottom of the 7th. Junior Janel Lake was on third base when sophomore Jessica Will singled to right center, and Lake scored to end the game. Senior Taylor Lockhart pitched nine strikeouts in the complete game shutout.

The Fighin' Engineers were down 2-0 heading into the top of the 4th in their second game when senior Marissa Stout doubled to left field to let sophomore Michelle Korf score.  Stout and freshman Maddie Struble also scored in the inning.  Rose-Hulman then scored three more runs in the top of the 5th, and four more in the 7th inning to finish the game.

Sophomore Gabbi Markison had a total of six hits in both wins, and sophomore Jenny Miller had five strikeouts in the second game.  Between Miller and Lockhart there was a total of 14 strikeouts in the two games on Tuesday. Rose-Hulman had a total of 22 hits in the two wins as well.

The Fightin' Engineers will play St. Vincent at 9 a.m. and Elizabethtown at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Legends Way.
