TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Due to projected weather issues, the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team has announced a revised schedule for this weekend's matches.
Rose-Hulman will face Franklin College on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and Manchester University on Saturday at 6 p.m. in a pair of Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchups. Both matches will take place inside the Wabash Valley Tennis Center in Terre Haute.
Rose-Hulman stands 6-3 on the season after winning its final five matches in Florida last week. The Fightin' Engineers defeated Augustana, Adrian, Ohio Northern, Capital and Wartburg, falling only to NCAA Division I Loyola (Md.) in its spring trip.
Brandon Benedict has won two consecutive HCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week awards and stands 9-3 in singles play and 9-5 in doubles matches this season. Andre Adam has added seven singles and seven doubles wins, and Matt Conrad has won six times in singles play and seven times in doubles action.
Georges Adam has added four singles and nine doubles wins, and Cam Metzger has four singles and seven doubles victories as players with 10 or more total victories so far this season.
The originally scheduled women's match between Rose-Hulman and Franklin has been cancelled due to the projected weather issues.
Franklin has an 0-2 record entering the week, while Manchester stands 0-3. After this weekend's action, Rose-Hulman will host Trine on March 19.
