TERRE HAUTE, IND-- The 2016 soccer season is finally here.  The Rose-Hulman Insititute of Technology women's soccer team will open up their 2016 season with a home match Thursday, September 1 at 5:30 P.M. at Intramural Field.  The Fightin' Engineers will host visiting Principia College.  A season ago, Rose-Hulman defeated the Panthers on the road by a final score of 2-0.

Last season the Fightin' Engineers finished with a 9-9 overall record and a 5-4 record in the Heartland Collegitate Athletic Conference.  The Panthers of Principia finished 2015 with an overall record of 6-10-2.

The squad will be headed this season by several veteran members of the program including junior Eliska Saiz, junior Madeline Romeo and senior Miranda Chastain.  

The Fightin' Engineers fielded a stout defense in 2015, positng a Goals Against Average of just 1.10.  Rose-Hulman shut their opponents out in 8 contests last season.
