TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Hanover College will meet in a key Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis matchup on Sunday at noon at the Joy Hulbert Tennis Center. The match has been rescheduled to Sunday due to projected rain in the Wabash Valley.
Rose-Hulman stands 3-0 overall and 2-0 in HCAC play, while Hanover has a 5-1 record and is 3-0 in league matches. Hanover was selected as the conference preseason favorite, with Rose-Hulman chosen in the second position.
Rose-Hulman has defeated Oakland City (9-0), Transylvania (9-0) and Franklin (8-1) to open the 2016-17 women's tennis season. Naomi Bhagat, Bella Evans and Anna Thompson are each a perfect 3-0 in singles play.
The doubles teams of Bella Evans and Linde Schaffer; Lauren Edwards and Kyla Jarvis; and Beata Barati and Becca Stanley are all 2-0 so far this season.
After Sunday's match, Rose-Hulman will travel to Mount St. Joseph on Sept. 24.
