TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team travels to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament this weekend at West Indy Racquet Club.

Opening Round- Friday, October 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Game 2: #3 Rose-Hulman vs. #6 Earlham
Semifinals- Saturday, October 21 at 1 p.m.
Game 3: #2 Franklin vs. #3/6 winner

Championship - Sunday, October 22 at 10 a.m.

Tournament champion is the HCAC automatic qualifier in the 2018 NCAADIII Championship Tournament.
ROSE-HULMAN NEWS AND NOTES (9-2, 5-2 HCAC)
* Rose-Hulman is the defending HCAC Tournament champion.
* The Fightin' Engineers have qualified for the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament twice. Rose-Hulman won the 2010 and 2016 HCAC Tournaments, resulting in appearances in the 2011 and 2017 NCAA Division III Tournaments.
* NOTE: All matches in the HCAC Tournament are played to decision. Once a team earns its 5th win of a match, play on the remaining matches stops immediately and the matches are recorded as unfinished.
* The duo of Fanny-Jane Banda and Naomi Bhagat have combined for 21 singles wins this season. Banda is 11-2 at No. 4 singles, while Bhagat is 10-2 at No. 3 singles. Bhagat has a perfect 10-0 record in dual singles matches, while Banda is 9-1.
* Linde Schaffer has added a 9-5 record in singles play for the third-most wins on this year's roster.
* The No. 1 doubles team of Bhagat and Anna Thompson have an 8-5 overall record to lead Rose-Hulman's doubles effort in 2017.
