BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team ran its win streak to six on Saturday afternoon following a 1-0 win at Bluffton University.
Rose-Hulman's defense stood tall as Bluffton only attempted three shots in the match. RHIT fired 26 shots in the match. Senior Austin Webb provided the lone goal in the game, scoring his fourth goal of the season in the 34th minute. Fellow senior Turner Perkins picked up the assist.
Senior goalie Michael Lawrence earned his fifth win in goal for Rose. He also collected a pair of saves in the second half.
The sixth straight win moves RHIT to 6-1-0 against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference competition. Rose-Hulman sits in a tie atop the HCAC standings. The Fightin' Engineers are also 11-4-1 overall. Bluffton fell to 1-14, 1-5 HCAC.
Rose-Hulman will return to the pitch on Wednesday October 25th at 7:30 p.m. at Franklin College.
