TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will look to upset No. 8-ranked Case Western Reserve on Friday February 10 at the West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis.
Rose-Hulman started their season off on the right foot this past Saturday February 4. The men swept Principia College 9-0 on the road. Winners on opening day included victors Georges Adam, Brandon Benedict and Cam Metzger at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions. Andre Adam, Austin Perry and Andrew Schiffman completed the sweep by winning at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6. In doubles play, Georges Adam teamed with Benedict for a No. 1 win, while Metzger and Andre Adam won at No. 2. Brendan Goldacker and Joe Kendall earned the No. 3 doubles victory as part of the sweep.
Rose-Hulman will face a tough opponent in Case Western Reserve. The Spartans are ranked No. 8 in the ITA Preseason Top 40 Poll. CWRU finished last year with an overall record of 22-8. The Spartans lost in the Third Round of the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament.
The match on Friday is set to begin at 6 p.m.
