TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hosts Franklin College in the annual Senior Night home meet on Friday at 6 p.m. at the SRC Natatorium.
Rose-Hulman News & Notes:
* Rose-Hulman will honor its 2017-18 Senior Class of 12 during the first diving warmup time at Friday's home meet. The meet begins at 6 p.m., with the senior recognition ceremony at approximately 7 p.m.
* The Rose-Hulman men's swimming and diving team is ranked No. 26 in the Collegeswimming.com rankings list with 634 points.
* The Rose-Hulman men have a dual meet record of 15-3 this season. The women's squad has a dual record of 10-12 entering this weekend's action.
* The Rose-Hulman men look to complete a fifth consecutive season of undefeated home dual meet results. The Fightin' Engineers last lost at home during the 2012-13 season.
* The Fightin' Engineers earned the HCAC Weekly Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards this week. Winners included Ethan Park (men's swimming); Michelle Reese (women's diving); and Peter Venema (men's diving)
* Current men's team members with school records include: Cam Gill (200 Backstroke, 800 Free Relay); Dutch Kipp (200 Individual Medley); Tyler Sariscsany (200 Free Relay) and Ben Stone (200 backstroke; 400 IM, 800 Free Relay); Peter Venema (1-meter 6 dives; 3-meter 11 dives)
* Current women's team members with school records include: Lauren Blake (200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay, 800 Free Relay); Bethany Lefeber (100 Butterfly, 200 Butterfly, 200 IM, 400 IM, 1000 Free, 1650 Free, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay); and Maria Kline (500 Free, 800 Free Relay)
The Opposition:
* Franklin has a 15-4 men's dual meet record so far this season.
* The Franklin women have a perfect 20-0 dual meet record in 2017-18. The Grizzlies are ranked No. 27 in the latest Collegeswimming.com national rankings.
Upcoming Action:
* After this weekend's action, Rose-Hulman will host the inaugural Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships at the Vigo County Aquatic Center on Feb. 9-11.
