Fightin' Engineers and Pioneers Meet in HCAC Showdown Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - There will be a lot on the line when Rose-Hulman and Transylvania meet on the hardwood for the second time this season on Saturday January 27.  Rose-Hulman (15-3, 11-0 HCAC) will look to remain undefeated in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference while Transylvania (14-4, 9-2 HCAC) will look to close the gap in the HCAC standings.  Both teams will bring double-digit win streaks into the contest, with Rose-Hulman having won 13 straight games and Transylvania having won 11 straight.  RHIT will also look to defend the nation's longest active home winning streak in NCAA Division III basketball, which is currently at 33 games.  Tipoff from Hulbert Arena will be at 1 p.m.  Students, come enjoy FREE CHICK-FIL-A sandwiches at the game as part of the Greatest Floor Competition!

* RHIT has won 13 straight games dating back to November of 2017.
* Rose-Hulman owns an overall record of 15-3, and an HCAC record of 11-0.
* The Fightin' Engineers defeated Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday January 24 by a final score of 74-52.

* RHIT beat Transy by 11 in the first meeting between these two teams back on December 9 in Lexington.
* Senior Alyzia Dilworth poured in a carerer-high 21 points in the win.
Ally Bromenschenkel (14), Chiarra Franklin (12), and Abby Bromenschenkel (12) all scored in double figures to help power the Rose-Hulman offense.
