Women's Basketball Begins HCAC Play Traveling to Defiance

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers will start conference competition this weekend traveling to take on the Defiance Yellow Jackets on Saturday, 12-1 at 1:00 PM.

Rose-Hulman News and Notes:

* The Engineers stand at 3-3 after their win against St. Mary-Of-The-Woods in the Dorsett Automotive Crosstown Classic on Wednesday with a final score of 91-55.
* Ally Bromenschenkel set a new career high in scoring tallying 31 points to lead the team in the win over the Pomeroys.
* Rose-Hulman has been picked as the favorite to win the HCAC title in the pre-season coaches poll.  
Ally Bromenschenkel leads the team with 18.2 points per game followed by her sister Abby Bromenschenkel averaging 10.7 points per game.
* After their game against the Yellow Jackets, the Engineers will continue HCAC play hosting Mt. St. Joseph on Wednesday, 12/5 at 7:00 PM.

The Opposition: Defiance College

* The Yellow Jackets stand at 0-5 on the season after a loss to Ohio Wesleyan on Tuesday with a final score of 82-62.  
* Lauren Rogers leads the team in scoring with 11.2 points per game, followed by Taylor Day with 8.2 points per game.
* After their game against the Engineers, the Yellow Jackets will travel to face the Franklin Grizzlies on Saturday, 12/8 at 2:00 PM.
