Three Players Reach Double-Digits in Win Over Mount St. Joseph

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers were able to reach another women's basketball conference win, defeating the Mount St. Joseph Lions with a final score of 65-41.  This improves the Engineers at 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the HCAC.

Ally Bromenschenkel led the team with her third consecutive double-double recording 17 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 assists.  Abby Bromenschenkel ended the game with 15 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds.  Debie Gedeon was also able to reach double digits with 10 points on the night.  

Other offensive key contributors included Morgan Brown with nine points off the bench, and Hannah Woody with eight points.

Rose-Hulman found themselves in a tight matchup early against the Lions.  Both teams would stay highly competitive with the score knotted up 13-13 heading into the second quarter.  

The contest remained close with multiple lead changes.  After being tied 23-23, Rose-Hulman would score four straight points at the end of the half to make the score 27-23 heading into halftime.  Ally Bromenschenkel would lead the team in scoring in the first half with 12 points.  

Rose-Hulman had a huge third quarter outscoring the Lions 23-9 to establish a dominant lead.  The Engineers would head into the final quarter ahead 50-32.  The team would hold off the Lions to secure the win with a final score of 65-41.  

The Engineers finished the night shooting 51.9% from the field and 69.2% from the free throw line.  They were able to end the night out-rebounding the Lions 44-22.

The Engineers stand at 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the HCAC so far this season. Rose-Hulman hosts Transylvania University on Saturday at 1:00 PM in a matchup of teams picked first and second in the HCAC preseason coaches poll.
