#24 Rose-Hulman Heads to Manchester for Regular Season Finale Sat.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The #24 Rose-Hulman women's basketball squad will look to become just second team in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference history to go a pefect 18-0 through league play this Saturday when the team travels to Manchester University for the team's regular season finale.  The last team that went a perfect 18-0 in HCAC play was Transylvania University back  in 2014-15.  The start time for the game on Saturday is schedule for 3 p.m.

Rose-Hlman News & Notes

* RHIT set a program record with their 19th straight win on Wednesday night following a 61-31 win at Anderson. The 19-game win streak surpasses the 18-game win streak set back in 2015-16.
* Rose-Hulman sits 21-3, 17-0 HCAC this season and the Fightin' Engineers are ranked #24 in this week's D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll.  The ranking is the first-ever top 25 ranking for a women's sport in Rose history. 
* Before February 14th's game at Anderson, Rose-Hulman's defense ranked No. 5 nationally; the Fightin' Engineers on average allow just 47 points per game.  
* The women have already clinched the top seed and will host next week's HCAC Conference Tourney in Hulbert Arena.  Rose will play the winnner of the #5 seed (still TBD) and the #4 seed Hanover on Friday at 6 p.m. in the HCAC Semifinals.  

Manchester News & Notes

* The Spartans are 7-17, 6-11 HCAC this season.
* MU is still very much alive for a playoff spot, the Spartans are in a four-way tie with Earlham, Defiance and Franklin for the final two playoff spots for next week's HCAC Tournament.  
* Manchester has lost their last two contests heading into Saturday's matchup with Rose.

Rose-Hulman 73, Manchester 42

* RHIT won the previous meeting between these two teams earlier this season on Dec. 16 back in Terre Haute. 
* Three Engineers scored in double figures and 12 different players scored in the 31-point win.
* Rose-Hulman shot 61% (31-51) from the field and had 24 assists in the first meeting.
