TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team will play a pair of matches on Saturday March 24 at the Wabash Valley Tennis Center, after the matches have been moved indoors due to projected weather.
The Fightin' Engineers will welcome the Greenville Panthers and the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks to Terre Haute. The match against Greenville will begin at 9:30 am and the match against Illinois Tech is slated to start at 4 p.m. at the Wabash Valley Tennis Center.
Rose-Hulman stands 6-6 on the young season and won a pair of matches last weekend against HCAC-opponents, topping Defiance 9-0 and Franklin 8-1.
Rose-Hulman's Ian Landwehr was named the HCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday March 19. Landwehr earned No. 1 singles victories over Defiance (6-0, 6-0) and Franklin (6-0, 6-1) to pace a convincing pair of Fightin' Engineer wins on Saturday and Sunday. Landwehr has a 9-3 overall singles record, including a 7-0 mark against NCAA Division III opponents. He also stands 6-6 in doubles play at the top two flights.
