TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- Rose-Hulman women's soccer team traveled to face the Greenville Panthers Tuesday night, September 11.  The team came up just short after a late goal by the Panthers to end the game with a final score of 2-1.

The Engineers got off to a quick start putting points up on the board early.  Sarah Shoemaker was able to get to the net after an assist from Elle Ogden in the third minute of the first half to give Rose-Hulman the lead 1-0.  Greenville was able to answer with a goal of their own in the 15th minute to tie the game at 1-1.  This would be the score at the end of the first half.

Rose-Hulman was able to control the ball offensively outshooting the Panthers 28-8.  In the final minutes of the game the Panthers were able to score the go ahead goal to put them up 2-1 over the Engineers.  The Panthers would hold onto their lead to defeat Rose-Hulman and improve to 5-1 on the season.  This loss drops Rose-Hulman to 3-2 overall.  

Two-time HCAC defensive player of the week Katie Demert would finish the game with 3 saves after 5 shots on goal.  The Engineers will travel to face Millikin University this Saturday, 9/15 at 5:00 PM CT (6:00 PM ET).
