TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- Rose-Hulman women's soccer team traveled to take on the Big Blue of Millikin University Saturday night, September 15. After a goal in the first half, Millikin was able to hold on to their lead to defeat the Engineers 1-0.

The Big Blue were able to strike first in the fifth minute.  The Engineers continued to compete, and were able to outshoot Millikin 9-8.  Millikin led Rose-Hulman 1-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half, the Engineers continued to stick with the Big Blue. Rose-Hulman continued to play hard but were not able to get to the net for the tying goal.  The Big Blue were able to hold their lead and defeat the Engineers with a final of 1-0. Jessica Wells led the team's offensive attack with three shots.  This loss drops the Engineers to 3-3 overall this season.

Goalie Katie Demert finished the night with seven saves after eight shots on goal.  The Engineers will travel to take on DePauw University this Wednesday, 9/19 at 7:00 PM.
